Whitewater Rafting near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge

While you’re on your Gatlinburg vacation and while it’s still very warm outside, you may want to beat the heat by whitewater rafting down the Pigeon River.  One of the companies you can use to have a day of fun with is Smoky Mountain Outdoors who are about 45 minutes away from Gatlinburg.

The Pigeon River rafting experience takes you down 5 miles of river where you experience beautiful scenery and views, as well as excitement while you raft through class 3 and 4 rapids.  Smoky Mountain Outdoors provides all of the instruction and equipment you will need to have an awesome day rafting down the Pigeon River.

Some of the reasons you should choose Smoky Mountain Outdoors is because they are very experienced, over 21 years in fact, you don’t need any experience (they will teach you what you need to know to keep you safe and so you have a ton of fun), experienced guides, brand new facilities, the trip down the river is the longest of any other rafting company (it takes two hours to get all the way down the river), and the rates are very affordable.

When you come to go whitewater rafting remember to bring a change of clothes for when the rafting trip is over because you will definitely get wet going down the river!
