What are your vacation plans this summer?  No matter where you are in the county, you need to take some time for YOU this summer to unwind and rejuvenate yourself.  If you are having a hard time deciding what you would like to do, or where you would like to go, I urge you to consider Gatlinburg, Tennessee. There are many things for you to do no matter what your preferences are – going out on the town, golf, swimming, shopping and more.

Natural Lights in Gatlinburg

Filed under: Gatlinburg — Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge Attractions June 4, 2008 @ 9:37 am

Synchronous fireflies are about to show off for the residents and visitors of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Gatlinburg.  Their mating season begins and you will be able to check out the fireflies flashing across the mountain side.

The flashing usually doesn’t occur in unison but you will be able to see waves of light across the mountains.

Since viewing this natural light show has become such a big deal, Gatlinburg has put in driving restrictions.  Unless you’re camping at the Elkmont Campground, only Gatlinburg trolleys will be allowed passed the Sugarlands visitor center until June 14.
