Dollywood to Invest $20 Million in New Rollercoaster and Waterpark Attractions

Dollywood has announced that they plan on building a new rollercoaster, “Mystery Mine” in the Timber Canyon area for $17.5 Million that will be the largest capital investment in Dollywood history.  This will expand the Timber Canyon area that already has “Thunderhead” that has been voted the world’s best wooden rollercoaster, and Timber Tower was recently added to the area.

In the Splash Mountain area, The Cascades, a $2.75 Million project (that is also the largest capital investment in Splash Mountain’s History) will be added that is a 7,500 square-foot pool with a beach style entry and includes a waterfall that spills from a giant rock grotto.

“The more than $20 million represented by Mystery Mine and The Cascades demonstrate that Dollywood’s management understands the value of keeping attractions fresh, exciting and inviting,” said Leon Downey, executive director of the Pigeon Forge Tourism Department.

  1. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot approximately this, like you wrote the
guide in it or something. I feel that you simply can do with some percent to force the
message home a little bit, but instead of that, that
is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.
